The 2016 Formula One Calendar Has Changed Again

Because Formula One can’t just release an official calendar and be done with it, the 2016 F1 calendar has changed again, with news of the season starting in April proving to be complete and utter bollocks.

The new calendar instead starts with Australia as the season opener in it’s usual March date with the season ending once again at the end of November in Abu Dhabi.

Other things worth noting is Malaysia moving to late on in the season, Russia starting much, much earlier and the return of the German Grand Prix, set to be at Hockenheim.

2016 F1 Calendar:

March 20 – Australia

April 3 – Bahrain

April 17 – China

May 1 – Russia

May 15 – Spain

May 29 – Monaco

June 12 – Canada

June 19 – Europe (Azerbaijan)

July 3 – Austria

July 10 – Britain

July 24 – Hungary

July 31 – Germany

August 28 – Belgium

September 4 – Italy

September 18 – Singapore

October 2 – Malaysia

October 9 – Japan

October 23 – USA

November 6 – Mexico

November 13 – Brazil

November 27 – Abu Dhabi

Fans of endurance racing will also notice that the European Grand Prix in Azerbaijan (I know, I know) is on the same weekend as the 24 Hours of Le Mans. So don’t expect any F1 stars giving Le Mans a crack in 2016, like Nico Hulkenberg did this year.

Saying that it’ll probably change again in a month or two anyway.
